If you think meat protein is the only way to go for building muscle, you´re wrong.
Pros:
A plant base diet has the potential to avoid problems relating to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and some types of cancer.
It doesn´t contain high cuantities of sodium nor saturated fat.
On top of that, it CAN provide enough protein. You only have to look at Carl Lewis, Mike Tyson, or Brendan Brazier.
However...
... because we dont digest plant protein as well as animal protein, vegeterians need to take about 10 percent more.
... plant protein doesnt have all the aminoacids needed for optimal muscle function
... iron is less well absorbed
... lacks Vitamin B12
