If you think meat protein is the only way to go for building muscle, you´re wrong.
Pros:
A plant base diet has the potential to avoid problems relating to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and some types of cancer.
It doesn´t contain high cuantities of sodium nor saturated fat.
On top of that, it CAN provide enough protein. You only have to look at Carl Lewis, Mike Tyson, or Brendan Brazier.
However...
... because we dont digest plant protein as well as animal protein, vegeterians need to take about 10 percent more.
... plant protein doesnt have all the aminoacids needed for optimal muscle function
... iron is less well absorbed
... lacks Vitamin B12

Fast vegan food
Restaurants, such as Native Foods Café, has been expanding all over the USA. They serve American classics such as mac and cheese and bacon cheeseburges vegan version. Even people who are not vegan stop by because of the deliciousness, or people who just want to know what they're eating: signs explain what goes into dishes.
Maybe we can healthify America one restaurant at a time.

Make your Raw Groceries Last
You should keep in kind that the sweeter the fruit or vegeteble is, the shorter its lifespan.
You can use the cold to delay their ripening, but you'll want to eat it closer to room temperature so you're not dulling the flavor.
Vegan Frenzy
16 million people in the USA are vegan (they do not eat any animal product) 42% of those went vegan after they saw an educational film. 69% did it to support the ethical treatment of animals.
Interesting: the vast majorith of these people are women.
More people are curious about veganism: google reported 3 fold increase jn vegan searches from 2007 to 2014.
Restaurants are also changing their menus to include this lifestyle.
If America continues in this increase, by 2050 3 out of 4 americans will be vegans.
Veganism isnt only great because of the health benefits and ethical support, it also helps decrease our ecological footprint.

- White Sugar - Not all sugar is processed using bone char, but some still are.
- Some Beers/Wines - Some beers (Guiness) and wines are clarified using gelatin, isinglass (fish bladders), bone marrow, casein…
- Jello/Jelly - Gelatin
- Frosted Mini Wheats - Contains gelatin.
- Apple Juice - Some apple juices are clarified using the bladder of fish
- Some jams - Some contain gelatin
- Certain gummy candies - gelatin
- Paintballs - most contain gelatin
- Tattoo ink - a lot of the black inks are made from charcoal made by burning animal bones.
- Galaxy Brand Veggie Slices – Not vegan or dairy free.
- Red Dyes – Many red dyes are coloured using the scales of tiny insects (Natural Red #4)
- Seasoned/BBQ-flavoured chips/crisps - Many contain traces of milk and/or animal fat

Anne Hathaway recently swapped her vegan diet for the high protein paleo one. because she hadn´t been feeling neither healthy nor strong. Now, she is feeling much better and doesn´t plan on going back on her decision.
Although she has apologized to the PETA and has only her health in mind, she has received negative responses.

Raw Cheesecake
Here’s the deal: a raw cheesecake means that all the vitamins, minerals and enzymes present in the whole foods you use to make the cake remain intact. Instead of a plateful of empty calories, you actually have a handful of fruit and nuts that are doing your body some good. Coconut oil is important in helping raw cheesecakes firm up because it solidifies at temperatures below 25 C. Cashews are also a staple because of their bland flavour. Soaking them is a pretty common practice: it neutralizes their enzyme inhibitors, makes them easier to digest and also softens them for easier blending. In this case, macadamia nuts came to the rescue and proper proportions made it so that the cake could sit at room temperature sans coconut oil without melting into a nutty mess.
